We are now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 class! The deadline to apply is August 1, 2017. Please note the mandatory 2017-2018 session dates listed below.

Who is eligible?

Junior faculty, clinical fellows and nursing, pharmacy, and allied health leaders with an interest in developing a career in patient safety, quality, and value are encouraged to apply. We welcome applicants from Seattle Children's Hospital, the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, and any UW Medicine entity.

What is the commitment?

Participants devote approximately eight hours per month towards the program (approximately a 0.05% FTE commitment for eight months). This time committment is split between five mandatory full day in-person conferences (held at the UW Medicine South Lake Union campus), conference calls, small group meetings, and project-related work. Applicants must confirm that they can attend all five in-person conferences. These sessions are mandatory- an absence from one session will result in an incomplete course with no certificate issued. Applicants must demonstrate adequate financial support and approved release time.

Save the dates now! The 2017-2018 mandatory sessions will be held on October 10, 2017*, December 6, 2017, February 7, 2018, April 25, 2018, and May 23, 2018.

*All dates are Wednesdays except for 10/10/17.

What is the tuition?

Tuition is $1950 per participant with a UW budget number. Paying without a UW budget number will incur an additional 15.7% overhead charge. Tuition is non-refundable and due at or before the first in-person session (October 10, 2017). Breakfast and lunch during the five in-person sessions are included. Transportation and parking expenses are not provided.
