New in 2022! This service provides robust mentorship and data service to advance quality improvement projects from idea to implementation and publication. This is an ideal add on service for registrants to the Certificate Program in Patient Safety and Quality.
What does the QI Project Accelerator Include?
- One-on-one project mentorship from physician faculty with extensive local QI expertise. Activities include project consultations, regular meetings and ongoing implementation guidance: approximately 12 hours. Learn much more about QI project mentoring here.
- Data service from experts in the AID/DOM Research Collaboratory (ARC). Activities may include identifying where data lives in data warehouses, writing database searches, building reports, assisting with analysis, and designing techniques to track currently unmeasured clinical variables: up to 40 hours.
- Project updates to fellowship, division, and unit leaders supporting the project. The fellow and faculty mentor will co-develop project success measures and make progress reports at 6 and 12 months.
Who is Eligible?
Though conceived as a service to support fellows, we welcome applications from all UW Medicine faculty and staff who seek support with their QI project. It would offer robust support to a participant or project team in the Certificate Program in Patient Safety and Quality, but enrollment in the course is not necessary to apply for the QI Project Accelerator.
What is the Cost?
The program cost is $4,983 when paying with a UW budget number.
