What Does the QI Project Accelerator Include?

  • One-on-one project mentorship from physician faculty with extensive local QI expertise. Activities include project consultations, regular meetings and ongoing implementation guidance: approximately 12 hours. Learn much more about QI project mentoring here.
  • Data service from experts in the AID/DOM Research Collaboratory (ARC) and the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS). Activities may include identifying where data lives in data warehouses, writing database searches, building reports, assisting with analysis, and designing techniques to track currently unmeasured clinical variables: up to 40 hours.
  • Project updates will be provided to leadership supporting the work. The enrollee and mentor will collaborate to identify measures of success.

Who is Eligible? What Projects are ideal for this service?

We welcome interest from any UW Medicine healthcare professional who seeks support with a QI project. The service is an ideal add-on to the Certificate Program in Patient Safety and Quality, but enrollment in that course is not necessary to enroll in the QI Project Accelerator.
